Joanna A. Hall, MNSc, RN, CHSE is the Director of Simulation and Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Nursing. Joanna received her Bachelor of Science in Community Health Promotion, Associate of Science in Nursing, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing all from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She received her Master of Nursing Science in Nursing Administration and Nursing Education from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Joanna is currently pursuing her PhD in Change Leadership for Equity and Inclusion at the University of Central Arkansas. Mrs. Hall’s clinical expertise in progressive care cardiology comes from five years at the bedside in a cardiac step-down unit. In nursing education, Joanna found an adept talent for public speaking, engagement, and leadership. Taking the reigns of one of the largest simulation centers in Arkansas, Mrs. Hall has honed her leadership abilities, enhancing the student, faculty, and staff simulation experiences through development and utilization of a shared vision and strategic plan. With experience and time in nursing education and administrative leadership, she has become increasingly interested in research, assessment, and the use of data to drive meaningful change for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in simulation and nursing curriculum. Joanna is passionate about helping grow and empower novice leaders through mentorship; engaging students, faculty, and staff; enhancing DEI initiatives; and creating impactful change in nursing education and the community.
