Dr. Erin McGuire is an Associate Professor of Nursing at John A. Logan College. She serves as the advisor to the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) students and co-sponsor of the ADN club. Dr. McGuire has been a nurse educator since 2012. Her dissertation focused on shared governance and the effect on employee satisfaction. She recently participated in a study utilizing flipped classroom methodology in pre-licensure students. Prior to nursing education, her background was emergency and trauma nursing. For over 10 years, she worked in the fast-paced environments of stabilizing and transferring pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in level 2 and level 1 trauma centers.
