Dr. Justin Fontenot is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at the LHC Group Myers School of Nursing at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. A proud ADN-prepared nurse, Dr. Fontenot is a Fellow at the Academy of Associate Degree Nursing. He is a current DNP to PhD student at Texas Woman's University. He is developing a new theory related to adaptive confidence in nursing practice and a new instrument to measure the major concepts. He is a board-certified Nurse Executive Advanced and OADN's official journal, Teaching and Learning in Nursing (TELN)'s Editor in Chief. Dr. Fontenot advocates for the equal treatment of marginalized backgrounds and is a proud LGBTQIA+ person.
