1001 - Results from the 2023 Annual ADN Program Faculty Staffing and Compensation Survey (Repeat of Session 901)

Nursing education programs report facing challenges regarding faculty staffing. This presentation will review the results of the 2023 ADN Faculty and Staff Compensation and Staffing survey conducted by the OADN Research Committee. Results will be compared to last year's survey results and trends identified. In addition, this work will present new information about the uncompensated work associated with the nurse faculty roles. Time for dialogue regarding solutions to the staffing challenges will be included.

Objectives:

  1. Upon completion, participant will be able to describe the challenges related to current and anticipated vacancies of faculty and staff of associate degree nursing programs.
  2. Upon completion, participant will be able to discuss the demographic characteristics of faculty and staff of associate degree nursing programs.
  3. Upon completion, participant will be able to identify the additional responsibilities expected of associate degree nursing faculty, over and above those related directly to instruction.
  4. Upon completion, participant will be able to discuss recommendations in response to data.
